• Up to what room size is the WDH-IFH15 (15 kW) electric heater suitable?

  The maximum room size depends on many factors:

  For example, how much cold comes in (insulation level), what the temperatures are like in the room in question and what your target temperature is.

  
  

  The rule of thumb is as follows: With simple (not so good) insulation, calculate with 120 watts per square metre. This means that with a maximum of 15 kW heating power, the unit will then be sufficient for approx. 125 sqm (314 cbm)! This value also corresponds to our recommendation. With correspondingly better insulation, the heat output is of course sufficient for larger rooms and areas.

• Does the fan of the WDH-IFH15 electric heater switch off when the temperature is reached or only the heating coil?

  The heating coil switches off after reaching the target temperature, but the fan continues to run. In other words, it continues to run even when the unit is in monitoring mode or not in heating mode.

  
  

  This is also the case with most competitors and serves to ensure a permanent and even temperature distribution, both in the room and inside the electric heater, without heat build-up.

• What is the operating noise (dB/A) of the WDH-IFH15 (15 kW)?

  We measured it ourselves and found that the WDH-IFH15 (15 kW) is quieter than most of its competitors. This is because it only has an operating noise of approx. 60 dB/A. This is comparable to the noise level of a floor fan in speed 3.

• Can the WDH-IFH15 electric heater be used as a frost monitor in continuous operation?

  Yes, but please note that the fan continues to run for technical reasons (e.g. overheating). In other words, it continues to run even when the unit is in monitoring mode or not in heating mode.

  This is also the case with the competitors and serves a permanent and even temperature distribution, both in the room and inside the electric heater.

  
  

  For this purpose, set the rotary control for the temperature to "MIN" (minimum).

  
  

  This temperature setting ensures that the room is kept frost-free and that no unnecessary/additional energy is used for higher temperatures.

• How can I adjust the thermostat on the WDH-IFH15 electric heater (divided into 1 or 0.5 degree increments)?

  The thermostat dial is infinitely variable (compare with the volume control on a radio). This means that the maximum value that can be set is approx. 40 °C and the lowest value that can be set is approx. 0 °C. There are no 1 or 0 degrees in between. There is no 1 or 0.5 degree scaling in between.

  
  

  However, you have the option of recording your own marker points.

  You do this as follows:

  
  

  Once you have reached a desired temperature value, adjust the controller downwards until the thermostat switches off with an audible "click". Now leave the thermostat in this position and whenever it gets colder in the room, the unit automatically starts heating and when the set temperature is reached again, the unit automatically switches off again.
